MegaPath Adds Real-Time Scalability to Business Continuity

MegaPath Inc. has unveiled its new SSL VPN service – Rapid License Control. As an additional option to the company's existing Business Continuity SSL service, and available for Corporate Access SSL customers, Rapid License Control is a scalable service designed for businesses with disaster recovery or business continuity requirements.

Rapid License Control enables users to add user licenses to their VPN and Internet connections in real time, so they can seamlessly support increases in usage requirements. This service addresses situations where the primary data center is still operational, but a business requires additional capacity due to a temporary spike in remote users because of natural or weather-related disasters, manmade events or other situations that keep employees off site.

Features of MegaPath's Business Continuity SSL Service include clientless access to network resources via a Web browser; scalable infrastructure to handle spikes in traffic; Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with 3DES encryption; security policy enforcement at the user and application level; 24/7 proactive monitoring, testing and maintenance; automatic failover and load balancing on high-availability or enterprise CPE models; detailed auditing and compliance regulations reporting; instant deployment with no need to pre-install software.
