"SIP trunking saved my business." An interconnect attending the Broadvox Partner Summit this week in Dallas told me this. I didn’t ask his permission to reveal his identity, but the statement was so strong that I wanted to share. It’s no secret that the recession hit PBX dealers hard as business cut or slowed capex. In this dealer’s case, his company was doing more than $3 million per year. In 2009, it will do just more than $2 million. And, that’s only because of SIP trunking. This interconnect has been able to justify new system sales (in some places replacing gear that’s only two or three years old) on the savings afforded by SIP trunking over PRIs. So, not only does the customer save money, they also can get a next-gen IP PBX from the deal. It’s a no-brainer for most SMBs.
